Gate valve refers to the valve in which the closing member (gate) moves vertically along the center line of the path. Gate valve is mainly used for cutting off in pipeline. Gate valves are a widely used type of valve. Gate valve can only be used for full opening and full closing in the pipeline, not for adjustment and throttling.
